Return & Refund Policy

At Wayfare Culture, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If something isn’t right, you may return or exchange your order in accordance with the terms below.

1. Return Eligibility

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when received.
  • You must log your return via your Wayfare Culture customer account, and wait for a confirmation email before proceeding.
  • We will inspect all returned items before approving a refund or exchange.

Returns received outside of this period, or in a non-resalable condition, will not be accepted. If the return is rejected and the customer wishes to have the item sent back to them, the customer will be responsible for arranging and paying for the shipping.

2. Refund & Exchange Terms

Items Over R1,000.00

  • We will arrange free collection & shipping of the item.
  • You will need to print the return shipping Waybill which will be sent to you. 
  • You will receive a full refund or a free exchange, provided the item meets our return conditions.

Items Under R1,000.00

  • Returns are accepted, but you will need to arrange and pay for the return shipping.
  • Once received and approved, we will issue a refund of the item price. Shipping fees are not refundable.

3. Sale Items

Sale items are not eligible for return or exchange via our returns portal.

However, you may email us at info@wayfareculture.co.za to request a return and exception to our policy. 

In such cases:

  • You will need to arrange and pay for return shipping (see address above)
  • Original shipping costs will be deducted from the refund.
  • Items must still meet all standard return conditions.

4. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged or incorrect, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery by logging a return through your customer account or emailing info@wayfareculture.co.za with clear photos.

Why the 24-hour window?

Damage or defect claims must be made immediately so that we can determine whether the issue occurred during shipping or was a manufacturing fault. After 24 hours, we are no longer able to attribute the damage to transit or file claims with our courier partners.

To be eligible for resolution, the item must still be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as delivered.

Please retain all original packaging and the item until we’ve confirmed next steps.

5. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • We will notify you of the outcome by email.
  • If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

If you have not received your refund within this time frame, please:

  1. Check your bank account.
  2. Contact your bank or card provider.
  3. Contact the Payment Provder Used e.g Peach Payments
  4. If still unresolved, contact us at info@wayfareculture.co.za.

7. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on:

  • Intimate, hygiene-related or sanitary goods
  • Items not in resalable condition
  • Products returned after the 14-day period
  • Sale and Clearance Items

Until a return is received and approved by our team, the item remains your responsibility.
